Panchmahal District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd. It is a top district level co-operative society having more than 1800 primary village level dairy co-operative societies in Panchmahal and Dahod districts with a membership of 250,000 milk producing members. Following which co-operative district milk unions took shape in various districts.
In the early 70s, when previous co-operative leaders; The Panchmahal district is believed to have a district co-operative milk union in Godhra, the district headquarters, with well-established co-operative societies already existing in the neighboring districts of Sabarkantha, Kheda and Baroda. The then Chief Minister of Gujarat, the late Hon’ble Shri Babubhai Jashbhai Patel laid the foundation stone for the establishment of Dairy Building at Godhra; In the presence of leading co-operative leaders of the district; Including the late Shri Maneklal Gandhi; In the year 1977.
The Milk Chilling Plant with a capacity to cool 30,000 liters of milk per day was established in 1978 with the financial support of Draft Prawn Area Project, Panchmahal.
Gujarat Dairy Development Corporation was asked to manage the affairs of Dudh Sangh.
