To Know About Political Parties in India


India is a multi-party system where the recognition for the accorded to national, state and district parties. Political parties are formed by groups of people with common interests and outlook, who come together with the aim of either forming government. Political party is group people with recognized and well organized group of people who contest in the election to hold power in the government. The elected party will rule and govern the power in the house of parliament. In India there are seven recognized national parties, 49 recognized national parties, 1785 unrecognized parties.

Each Political parties in India represents a leader and contests in the election, organized by the election commission to choose the party with the highest impressions. The task of the political parties in India is to perform important task and develop the government.

The seven political parties in India are All India Trinamool Congress, Bahujan Samaj Party, Bharatiya Janata Party, Communist Party in India, Indian National Congress and Nationalist Congress Party. Each party will have a unique representation of party symbol. If a party is recognized as state or national party its symbol is reserved for its exclusive use.

Congress party named Indian National Congress was the first political party formed in India in the year 1885. It was founded at Gokuldas Tejpal Sanskrit College in Bombay, with 72 delegates in attendance and Womesh Chunder Bonnerjee of Calcutta was elected President. Bharatiya Janata Party is the largest political party in India. It is the ruling party in India with the President Amit Shah, the Parliamentary Chair person Narendra Modi and the symbol of the party lotus. The main function of the political parties is to form the legislation which favours the government to develop with welfare of the people also.
