CLAT 2014: Results expected on May 31

The results for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) held on Saturday, i.e May 11 at 21 centers, is expected on the last day of this month i.e May 31 by 11:59 PM

CLAT is organised by Gujarat National Law University and conducted for admissions to India’s premier law institutes, including the National Law Institutes, in undergraduate (LL.B) and postgraduate (LL.M) courses.

Around 35, 000 aspirants were expected to sit for the examination this year for a total of 16, 000 seats at different law institutes all across the country.  Tamil Nadu National Law School has been provisionally included for CLAT-2014.

After the declaration of the results, the counselling period for first 2500 candidates is expected to commence the day after i.e June 01 and end along with fee deposit at CLAT offices is June 09 by 4 PM. The counseling fee for admission to UG courses is Rs 1,00,000 and for admission to PG courses is Rs 65,000.

There shall be a centralised admission process for CLAT-2014 on the basis of merit-cum-preference by the organising university,

Provisional Allotment List/Waiting List will be prepared only on the basis of the counselling session undertaken by the candidates and the details filled-in by the candidates in the Online Application Form.

When a candidate’s name appears in the Provisional Allotment List, the candidate will have to confirm his/her intention/seriousness to take admission or to be considered against the future vacancies, if any, with the CLAT Office through the CLAT website

  • Publication of provisional allotment list of candidates allotted to various universities against the actual seats and waiting list: June 11
  • Last date for exercising the option to remain with the allotted university by the candidates in the provisional allotment list: June 13
  • Publication of first subsidiary list of candidates allotted to various universities against the actual left out seats: June 14
  • Last date for exercising the option to remain with the allotted university/admission process by the candidates in the first subsidiary list: June 16
  • Publication of second subsidiary list of candidates allotted to various universities against the actual left out seats: June 17
  • Last date for exercising the option to remain with the allotted university/ admission process by the candidates in the second subsidiary list: June 19
  • Publication of third subsidiary list of candidates allotted to various universities against the actual left out seats: June 20
  • Last date for exercising the option to remain with the allotted university/ admission process by the candidates in the third subsidiary list: June 21
  • Publication of fourth subsidiary list of candidates allotted to various universities against the actual left out seats: June 22
  • Last date for exercising the option to remain with the allotted university by the candidates in the fourth subsidiary list: June 23
  • Completion of admission formalities at the university level by submitting required certificates/ documents by the candidates admitted against the provisional allotment list and 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th subsidiary lists by depositing fees: June 24 to June 27
  • Submission of detailed report by the member universities to the CLAT convener: June 28
  • Announcement of final list of admitted candidates: June 30
  • Closure of admission process: June 30
